We had a visit from our buddies in Room 18 on Friday and we had a lovely time sitting in the courtyard, listening to and reading stories.

We're Buzzing about Bees

In Room 6, we have been learning about honey bees. We checked out the school's beehives and we saw lots of bees coming and going.

Then we watched some videos and we learnt some interesting facts about bees. We drew these pictures of bees and added some information about them.

The Giant Walk

What a great day we had on Friday for our big walk to the snakes and ladders park. Room 6 did really well walking the distance. Here we are during the walk and resting before the return to school.

Travelwise Funky Shoes Day

On Friday lots of children walked, cycled or scootered to school in their funky shoes and footwear. Look how bright and colourful some Room 6 feet looked. 

Assembly Awards

We attended our first school assembly on Friday and Mavis, Arieze, Cooper, and Charlie all received a certificate. Here they enjoying their big moment on the stage. Well done!

Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori

It is Maori Language Week this week. We use te reo every day in Room 6 but this week we are learning to say and understand even more Maori language. Today we joined in the Maori Language Moment at midday by singing a waiata we know.
